Don’t fall for it!
I really have a problem with ‘misrepresentation’! I have a moral obligation to be upfront and true to my clients and as a fiduciary, I work for you…my client. And, also as a homeowner and an investor, I constantly receive phone calls as well as junk mail weekly asking if I want to sell my properties. Of course, these people do not know I am a real estate Broker, and in their defense, they are only cold calling every property owner under the sun…as they are getting paid for leads.
What the public must understand is that the investor…or flipper is only interested in getting a deal, which leaves simply means you, the motivated homeowner looses out on thousands of dollars. Yes, real estate agents charge a sales commission, but remember that these investors expect to make a profit and that means they will say anything to get you to sell!
The Central Valley real estate market has had ‘low inventory’ for many years, therefor we have more buyers than sellers! Knowing this, if you find yourself needing to sell…always interview an agent. It is free and the value of knowing a true value may surprise you. Realtors sell homes in all condition, so do not fall for the investor telling you you would have to spend thousands if you list with an agent!
Over my 30+ yeas in the real estate business, I have seen many things…I have also seen competing agents suggest a lower price while I am able to get top dollar and net the seller thousands more!
My point here is simply, do not fall for the lies and surely consult one if not two other agents if you are even considering selling your home.
The latest craze of cold callers that are, merely unlicensed real estate agents acting like they are doing you a favor is a misrepresentation to the real estate industry.
Even if you find this and are out of my area, I am always available to share ideas and suggestions that may help you move in the right direction.
